Installation
Install the CLI, Python SDK, Claude Code plugin and desktop Console together. Downloads are checked against release checksums. You need GitHub access to fclimited/atfgraph-dist; source-repository access is not required.
Choose an installer
| Route | Platforms | Authentication |
|---|---|---|
| Homebrew | macOS Apple Silicon and Intel | GitHub repository access |
| GitHub release script | macOS, Linux, Windows | GitHub repository access |
| npm or npx | macOS, Linux, Windows | GitHub repository and package access |
Console is available on macOS and Windows. Linux installs CLI, SDK and plugin; use Console on your Mac or Windows computer and sign in there separately.
Install Claude Code first for automatic plugin registration. Otherwise install it later and rerun the ATFGraph installer or brew postinstall fclimited/atfgraph/atfgraph. Restart Claude after registration.
Homebrew on macOS
Follow the Homebrew guide or quickstart. The Console cask includes the CLI tooling. Python is supplied on Apple Silicon; Intel requires Python 3.11+ and gh on PATH.
GitHub download on macOS or Linux
With Python 3.11+ and GitHub CLI installed:
gh auth login
gh release download -R fclimited/atfgraph-dist -p install.sh -O - | bash
Follow the installer's PATH instruction. The standard CLI location is ~/.atfgraph/bin/atfg. Console installs to ~/Applications on macOS.
For a specific installer, use an actual installer-vX.Y.Z tag from Releases. Installer and native CLI version numbers are independent.
Windows
With GitHub CLI, Python 3.11+ and PowerShell 7:
gh auth login
gh release download -R fclimited/atfgraph-dist -p install.ps1 -O - | Out-String | Invoke-Expression
The installer includes the Windows Console. Close an existing Console before upgrading. You can also use npm.
Verify and continue
atfg --version
atfg doctor --local
For Homebrew with an older CLI on PATH, use "$(brew --prefix)/opt/atfgraph/bin/atfg" explicitly. Then sign in.
